"Give us this day our daily miracles."

Days go much better when you're not overly concerned with other days to come or days bygone. They take on a much more pleasurable character.

"Slow is Smoth, Smooth is Fast"

When I was trained and training new recruits in housclearing techniques this saying was parroted overly abundantly. It has a deeper function of reminding you to think through a problem as you're performing the steps, with the end goal of not having to think once you`re performing the task at combat speed. Forming muscle memory so that when you`re under extereme stress the actions are natural.

Second to that is what is called the One-thirds, Two-thirds rule. You use one-third of the time available to plan and two-thirds to execute. . . this ensures you have sufficient time to plan without overplanning and not executing.

I have had similar issues biting off more than I can chew. Starting a new ridiculous workout routine because I dont have the patience to slowly build. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast is the perfect quote to compliment this post.

'The more consistent you are, the better.'

No one needs to spend 10000 hours on a thing to become good at something. If you want a gold medal in the Olympics, yes. But if you work on the actual thing, you'll find friends who do it together. It will be fun to do what you must do. The chore will be a high-status hobby instead.
